This was our first attempt at capturing night ride footage. I only managed a few minutes in the correct nighttime mode, and I’m still experimenting.
This ride was on Sunday, September 13, 2025, running Old Flowers from west to east. We had two Jeeps: Lee and I were in the first, with James and Jacob in the second. There was some rain on the way to the trail and overcast skies throughout, but conditions were good once we started. The temperature was between 50- and 55-degrees Fahrenheit. Along the way, we passed one other Jeep and a few campers.
I learned that I need to keep the recorder in “pure video” mode, and I suspect the footage will look much better on a moonlit night. We’ll be experimenting more with night ride recording.
